“I think I can. I think I can.”

The train puffed up the track,

Trying to climb the mountain,

Smoke pouring from his stack.

“I think I can. I think I can.”

The boxcars cheered him on.

The little engine was tired

But kept climbing on and on.

“I think I can. I think I can.”

He was nearly there,

Huffin’ and puffin’

And growlin’ like a bear.

“I knew I could! I knew I could!”

He finally reached the top.

Then stared going down

“Oh no, I can’t stop!”
